Some believe the recommendations below to be effective treatments against cancer.

Beyond a potential treatment for cancer,ย Boswellia extracts and formulations containing Boswellia have also demonstrated benefits in reducing pain and inflammation associated with osteoarthritis.23
Evidence suggests that Boswellia extract and its active compounds exhibit anti-cancer properties, including inhibiting tumor growth and proliferation, as well as reducing side effects of cancer treatments.ย

POTASSIUM
It is believed that cancer does not survive well in a potassium rich environment.
Some population studies have found that in a number of countries where there are high-potassium diets, cancer rates are lower.
In areas where there are low-potassium diets, these studies showed the cancer rates are higher.
These types of studies however do not prove a direct connection, because there are many other factors involved.
Main sources of dietary potassium are fruits and vegetables, so people with a diet high in potassium may be at lower risk for cancer because of their intake of other beneficial phytochemicals.
The best source for dietary Potassium is from our foods and perhaps some supplementation.
NOTE:
People who are taking potassium-sparing diuretics (such as triamterene, amiloride, and spironolactone) or ACE inhibitors (such as lisinopril, enalapril, and captopril) can build up dangerously high potassium levels by using potassium supplements or salt substitutes. Those with kidney failure, diabetes, or Addisonโs disease should only take potassium supplements under the careful supervision of a doctor.

MSM
MSM (Methyl Sulfonyl Methane) is an incredible form of sulphur, the third most common chemical in our body. MSM makes cells permeable (which is known to aid in the treatment of cancer), strengthens collagen (which helps stop the spreading of cancer and thus may turn malignant tumors into benign tumors), helps maintain a proper pH (which cancer cells don’t like), and causes a host of other benefits for treating cancer.
NOTE:
Virtually all MSM products you buy at a health food store are of limited value. This is because additives have been added to the MSM in order to put the MSM powder into the pills. These chemicals largely destroy the usefulness of the MSM. They add the chemicals because MSM clumps together and is difficult to put into pills.
Find a source of MSM crystals with zero additives in bulk form. This form of MSM is often found at feed stores, will be unadulterated and 99.99% pure.
It may say “Not For Human Consumption”, because they want you to buy it in their pill form, where they will charge you 10 times as much for a less than pure product.
I have visited multiple MSM manufacturers on the Internet, inquiring of bulk MSM, and they make no distinction between human or animal MSM, they just want to know how many barrels you want.
According to the manufacturers, in a case where additives are requested, it is commonly DMG (a natural supplement), Vitamin C and/or various forms of sugar.
Just make sure it says 99.99% pure. If it is 99.99% pure, there is no room for any other additives in it, and will be safe.
THE ALKALINE VS. ACIDIC DEBATE
It’s been commonly said that “Cancerous tissues are acidic, whereas healthy tissues are alkaline.”
The idea is that if you keep your body alkaline vs. acidic, it can prevent cancer and other diseases. Is there any truth to this? Let’s take a look.
Cancer cells DO produce lactic acid, which can make the immediate tumor microenvironment more acidic. However, the body has mechanisms to maintain a tight pH balance in the blood between 7.35 – 7.45, which is slightly alkaline. (1)
It seems to be a myth that the entire body becomes acidic due to cancer cells producing acid. The body has checks and balances to maintain a near-neutral pH. (1)
While an acidic diet high in meat, animal proteins, and processed foods may contribute to inflammation, there is no evidence that this can directly cause cancer or that an alkaline diet can prevent or treat cancer. (25)
The relationship between dietary acidity/alkalinity and cancer risk is complex. Eating a balanced, plant-based diet rich in fruits, vegetables, and whole grains is recommended for cancer prevention, but this is not due to an “alkalizing” effect. (25)
While common knowledge suggests that the typical Western diet, largely based around meat, dairy, sugars, alcohol, saturated fats and caffeine results in millions of us having created a hostile, acidic environment within our bodies.
The overall acidic effect of such a diet may not be the source cause of high acidic (acidosis) environments within our bodies. Other factors can cause this effect,

THE ALKALINE DIET
When fighting cancer, many people choose to combat to on multiple fronts, including attempting to reduce the overall acidity in their bodies.
It is important to first address the above list which includes things that are known to cause high acidity. If you wish to proceed with a low-acidity diet as part of your plan, it is important to start consuming alkalizing foods and drinks while eliminating acidifying foods and drinks from your diet. As a rough guide, you should try to include some of the following:

Omega 3 Fatty Acids (Salmon and other cold-water fish), Olive Oil, Flax/Linseed, Evening Primrose, Avocado Oil,

ONLY – Lemons, Lime, Grapefruit, Watermelon, Tomato, Avocado – all other fruits to be used quite sparingly

Following an alkaline diet may reverse the trend of over-acidification and create a more harmonious acid/alkaline balance. You can attempt to โcleanseโ the body of toxins and rapidly create an alkaline environment in which the body has a better chance of healing itself. Cleansing and beginning an alkaline diet is a natural, holistic method of healing in which the body detoxifies itself and regenerates healthy vibrant cells, effectively becoming more alkaline and less acidic.
Some believe that eating lots of alkalizing foods maintains a healthy alkaline pH level in the body.ย It has been suggested that a proper balance is to eat 70% or more of alkalizing foods and less than 30% acidifying foods per day.
For the overweight or chronically ill, the ratio changes to 80% alkalizing foods and 20% acidifying foods per day until you are well enough that you can then go back to 70% alkalizing foods and 30% acidifying foods per day to maintain proper health.

SODIUM
“The salt content of the typical American diet is one of the reasons why calcium requirements are so high,” says Linda K. Massey, PhD, RD, a professor of human nutrition at Washington State University in Spokane.
Massey says studies show that regular table salt, not simply sodium, causes calcium loss, weakening bones with time. Thatโs important because Americans get about 90% of our sodium through salt.
We also get about twice as much sodium as we should. The 2005 Dietary Guidelines for Americans advise limiting sodium to 2,300 milligrams a day โ equal to a teaspoon of salt. But most Americans get at least 4,000 milligrams a day.
“Generally speaking, for every 2,300 milligrams of sodium you take in, about 40 milligrams of calcium is lost in the urine,” Massey explains.
SOFT DRINKS
Soft drinks and certain other carbonated soft drinks contain phosphoric acid, which can increase calcium excretion in your urine.
“Excess phosphorus promotes calcium loss from the body when calcium intake is low,” Massey explains.

THE REASON FOR THE INCREASE IN BROKEN BONES DESPITE HIGH DAIRY CONSUMPTION – The Dr. D. Feskanic Study
Loss of bone density leads to bone fractures.
Why is osteoporosis incredibly prevalent in developed countries?
It appears as though the osteoporosis drugs and the consumption of dairy products are not working very well.
The answer to this dilemma has come from Dr. D. Feskanich and his group who performed a lengthy 12-year study published in the American Journal of Public Health in 1997 (87:992-997) on this very topic.
His study concludes that increased consumption of dairy actually contributes to fractures from osteoporosis.
The Feskanich study revealed that the reason for the increase in broken bones despite high dairy consumption is because metabolizing animal-based proteins (dairy protein, “casein,” included) results in excessive amounts of endogenous acid in the body.
The claim is that the acidic condition does not occur with plant-based proteins, only animals. For our bodies to be able to eliminate this acid, it must first be neutralized by combining it with calcium. This neutralizing calcium is extracted from our bones, according to the U.S. National Dairy Council, a leader in nutrition research and education since 1915.
